Dog Friendly Hotel in The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire

With so many opportunities to walk in the Forest of Dean, if you have a dog, it would be a shame not to bring your 'best four legged friend' along.

In order to make sure that our guests who are not travelling with their dogs have a pleasant stay at The Speech House Hotel, we have to apply some restrictions. Our Dog Friendly Hotel Policy

• Dogs must not weigh more than 80 pounds.
• Official medical certification recording all vaccinations must be available upon request.
• Dogs may be left unattended in your room, but, if you leave the premises of the hotel with your pet unsupervised, they must be in a crate or dog carrier.
• Pets must be on a lead at all times when outside your room.
• Guests are responsible for 'pooper scooping' after their pet in and around the hotel at all times.
• Unacceptable noise levels – barking and noise that is disruptive to other guests in the hotel is viewed as unacceptable. If two noise or disruptive complaints are reported, you may be asked to make accommodation arrangements for your pet.
• A cost of £10 per dog per night is payable
• Guests are responsible for any damages to the room and its contents. The guest’s room will be inspected for such damages prior to checkout. If extensive cleaning or damage repair is necessary beyond the normal deep cleaning process, the guest may be charged additional fees.
• Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant (apart from assistance dogs)
• Housekeeping Service – The pet must be vacated from the room before housekeeping on check-out or other arrangements must be made with hotel management.
